Birthdays
Please remember that if it is your child’s birthday you may send in small cupcakes to help them celebrate with their class. Lately a few party bags and whole cakes have been coming to school. We don’t want to encourage children to be eating lots of sweets and as a school are committed to trying to reduce our waste and environmental impact. Therefore, party bags will not be sent home with the class children from now, they will be returned to the birthdays child’s family.
Debenture Reminder
Please remember that you need to give a full two months notice in writing if you are withdrawing your child from Abacus. Otherwise the school fees section will not refund your debenture. If your child is leaving at the end of K2 you do not need to give two months notice, your debenture will automatically be returned.
Refugee Clothes Crisis
Thank-you for kind donations so far for the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh. We will be collecting children’s winter clothes, in good condition, until Friday of this week. At which point they will be collected and taken to one of the collection points for transport to Bangladesh.
Shoes
We have noticed a few children coming to school in ill fitting shoes. This is quite dangerous for them when they are climbing and running in the playground. Please make sure your child’s shoes fit correctly, stay of their feet and they can fasten them independently. No lace ups please, unless your child is able to tie their own laces.
